How much is fuel for yacht?

7 October 2022
Yachts are the ultimate symbol of wealth, and the majority of billionaires own at least one. It allows them to relax and have fun without worrying about running into other people or the press. Due to the need for seclusion, the majority of them travel by helicopter.
Alisher Usmanov’s yacht, Dilbar, is a behemoth on the water, measuring 156 metres (511.8 feet) in length and providing ample space for the guests to engage in any activity they can imagine.
The yacht, which was first sailed in 2016, has the largest pool ever built onto it, measuring 82 feet (25 metres) in length and containing 6,356 cubic feet (180 metres) of water. But since the specifics are largely unknown, we can only speculate as to how the Russian millionaire passes the time while travelling on this opulent ship, whose yearly operating expenses range from $50 million to $80 million.
TheYachtMogul, an Instagram account that bills itself as the “world’s largest yachting profile,” just posted a brief clip showing Alisher Usmanov’s yacht, Dilbar, receiving fuel on its profile.
The yacht’s price is projected to be between $800 million and $1 billion based on its gross tonnage (15,917 t) multiplied by the value of $65,000 per tonne. The Instagram account claims that the yacht is valued at roughly $600 million. You came here for the fun part, so let’s get to it: how much does it cost to fill it up with gas?
The superyacht’s estimated fuel capacity is 1,000,049 litres (220,000 gallons), and according to TheYachtMogul, the vessel received a 500,000-liter fuel refill, bringing the total cost to $1,500,000 at an average price of $3 per litre. Since there was so much fuel involved, a firetruck was used to help with the filling procedure.
People who commented on the original video also said that the ultimate price given by the Instagram account may include staff, the cost of the dock, and transportation and that it sounded way too pricey. In the United States, the cost of a gallon (3.9 litres) of fuel for yachts ranges between $3 and $3.7, though it also depends on where they dock. Even at that fuel-only price, it would cost more than $700,000 to fill it full. It is greater than an SF90 Stradale Ferrari.
